Zain Ismail is a health innovator, relationships builder, and entrepreneur. Drawing on a diverse set of experiences, Zain is on a mission to humanize the health system through technology. What does that mean? Well, it can mean a lot of things. Drawing from Zain’s background and affinity for hospitality and customer service, Zain is working to implement technology into the health system as a way to improve the patient experience and deliver value.
Zain is also interested in developing novel business models using design principles to increase access to care, and create “customer focused” experiences that are often found in other industry like retail, banking, hospitality, etc.
Zain holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Odette School of Business at the University of Windsor and has completed an Executive Program in Health Systems Innovation at the Ivey Business School at Western University (London, Ontario, Canada). Zain is also a huge fan of massive open online courses (MOOC) and has completed a number of health innovation and entrepreneurship courses on the Coursera platform in collaboration with the University of Michigan, Duke University, and Vanderbilt University. Lastly, Zain is a Master of Business Administration Candidate at the Mike Ilitch Business School at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.
Zain is a dual citizen (American/ Canadian) and spends most of his professional and personal time between the cities of Windsor, Ontario, Canada & Detroit, Michigan, USA, and is passionate about finding ways for both regions to work together, especially in the health space. Learn more
